2018 Season — Team Sky at the Giro d'Italia: The 2018 Giro will go down as one of the most dramatic stage races of the decade. Froome arrived in Italy as an outsider, with Simon Yates holding the pink jersey heading into the final mountain stages. Then came stage 19 — the legendary Colle delle Finestre. With over 80 kilometres still to race, Froome launched a solo attack that left the peloton stunned, erasing a deficit of more than three minutes to seize the maglia rosa. An extraordinary ride that delivered his first Giro title and completed a Giro-Tour double for Team Sky that season. The 2018 Sky roster also featured Geraint Thomas, Wout Poels and Michal Kwiatkowski among its key riders.
