Eliolona 1969 - cycling figurine

This hand-painted zamak figurine faithfully recreates the Eliolona team jersey as worn in the professional peloton during the 1969 season. Each piece is individually painted by hand in Le Petit Cycliste's workshop in Roubaix, produced in small batches in the finest tradition of French cycling craftsmanship.

The 1969 season stands as one of the most legendary chapters in professional cycling history. The peloton was utterly dominated by Eddy Merckx at the absolute peak of his powers: that year he completed a Giro–Tour de France double with breathtaking authority, winning the Tour by a record margin and cementing his status as the greatest stage racer of his generation.
