Team Novo Nordisk 2022 - cycling figurine

A handcrafted cycling figurine cast in zamak — a zinc alloy — and hand-painted at the Roubaix workshop of Maison Georges Édouard, located just a stone's throw from the legendary Vélodrome. Each piece is individually finished, carrying on the tradition of the Fonderie Roger figurines, first crafted in France in the 1950s.

This figurine faithfully reproduces the jersey worn by Team Novo Nordisk in the professional peloton throughout the 2022 season.

Team Novo Nordisk — 2022 season
Team Novo Nordisk holds a unique place in the world peloton: it is the only professional cycling team whose riders all live with type 1 diabetes. Backed by Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, the squad has been racing since 2012 to prove that the condition is no barrier to elite sport. In 2022, around twenty riders from some fifteen different nations — spanning Europe, the Americas, and Oceania — carried the team's colours on UCI circuits across the globe, logging race kilometres with genuine commitment and conviction. A team unlike any other in the peloton, whose very presence on the road carries a message far more powerful than any stage result.
