The 2023 season marked a new chapter for one of pro cycling's most versatile outfits — formerly Trek-Segafredo, the team relaunched under the Lidl-Trek banner with fresh ambitions and a roster built to compete across every terrain the peloton throws at them.
Mads Pedersen was the standard-bearer — a rider who comes alive when the roads get hard and the finishes get brutal, equally at home on cobbled classics as on punishing stage race finales. Alongside him, Giulio Ciccone confirmed his standing as one of the peloton's most reliable climbers, consistently animating the big mountain stages across all the major races of the season.
