The 1989 season is etched in cycling history as one of the most dramatic ever witnessed. That year's Tour de France went down to the wire — settled by mere seconds after a final time trial on the Champs-Élysées, in what remains the closest and most breathtaking finish the race has ever seen. Team PDM were right at the heart of that era: one of the most ambitious outfits in the peloton, fielding riders capable of competing across Grand Tours and Classics alike. They embodied the powerful, well-organised Dutch cycling machine that dominated much of the international calendar through the late 1980s.
This figurine faithfully reproduces the jersey worn by Team PDM during that iconic season. Cast in zamak — a zinc alloy prized for its durability and crisp detailing — it is hand-painted in France using traditional craft techniques. Each piece is worked individually to capture the authentic colours and graphics of the original race jersey.
Produced in limited numbers, this figurine is made for collectors who build the peloton team by team, season by season — a tangible, lasting way to keep the memory of professional cycling alive.
