The Carrera team, sponsored by Italian denim brand Carrera Jeans from 1984 to 1996, stands as one of the most storied squads in professional cycling. Three Giri d'Italia, one Tour de France and one Vuelta a España — a palmares that speaks to a decade of dominance across the sport's greatest stage races.
Legends wore that jersey. Stephen Roche claimed the 1987 Tour de France in one of the race's most dramatic editions, navigating a fierce rivalry with his own team-mate Roberto Visentini. Claudio Chiappucci then carried the team's ambitions on the road, twice finishing on the final podium in Paris. And in the team's closing seasons, a young Marco Pantani began to announce himself as a climber apart, before moving on to Mercatone Uno and cycling immortality.
This figurine faithfully reproduces the Carrera team jersey. It is cast in zamak — a high-precision zinc alloy — and hand-painted in our workshop in Roubaix, produced in small runs using the artisan methods that define Le Petit Cycliste.
