Festina 1998 - cycling figurine

This figurine faithfully recreates the jersey worn by the Festina team in the professional peloton during the 1998 season. Like every piece in Le Petit Cycliste's Zamak range, it is handcrafted in France in a limited series — cast from quality zinc alloy and carefully hand-painted in our Roubaix workshop.

Led by Richard Virenque, the team's climbing ace and one of the most feared climbers in the peloton, and buoyed by Laurent Brochard's 1997 rainbow jersey won in Festina colours, the team arrived at the Tour de France with genuine podium ambitions. What followed would shake the sport to its core: the Festina Affair, triggered by the arrest of soigneur Willy Voet at the Belgian border, led to the team's expulsion from the race and sent shockwaves through the entire cycling world.
