This zamak figurine faithfully recreates the jersey worn by the riders of the Selle Royal Contour team during the 1977 season. Hand-crafted in small batches at Le Petit Cycliste's workshop in Roubaix, each piece is painted by hand, one by one, with the attention to detail that defines the entire zamak range.
The 1977 season stands as a landmark year in European professional cycling. The peloton was dominated by powerhouse squads across a classic calendar packed with spring Monuments and all three Grand Tours. That year, Bernard Thévenet claimed the yellow jersey at the Tour de France, Michel Pollentier won the Giro d'Italia, and Francesco Moser triumphed at the World Championships — a season full of drama and fierce rivalry between the era's most ambitious teams.
The Selle Royal Contour team, backed by the Italian saddle manufacturer Selle Royal, was very much part of this vibrant peloton, carrying the tradition of competitive Italian cycling onto the international stage.
