Euskaltel - Euskadi 2022 - cycling figurine

This cycling figurine recreates the Euskaltel - Euskadi jersey as worn in the professional peloton during the 2022 season. Cast in zamak — a zinc alloy prized for its durability and fine detail — each piece is hand-painted and individually finished in our Roubaix workshop, carrying on the craft tradition of Fonderie Roger, pioneers of miniature cycling figurines since the 1950s.

The 2022 season marked the second full year of Euskaltel - Euskadi's return to the professional peloton, following years of absence after the historic team's dissolution in 2013. True to their proudly Basque identity, the squad lined up with an almost exclusively Basque roster — a tradition unlike anything else in world cycling. Driven by riders like Mikel Iturria, a seasoned stage hunter, and veteran Luis Ángel Maté, master of long-range breakaways, the team made its mark across the Iberian classics and Spanish stage races. A tight-knit collective, wearing their orange with fierce regional pride at the heart of the season's finest races.
